Version 2.88.0 - 2025-06-23

These are the changes and bug fixes that were updated in version 2.88.0 of the MDS and FDS.

Version 2.88.0 Change log​

Component Updates :​

  • Menu
    • Burger Menu is now available in desktop devices via an SGM toggle.
    • Toggle is available in SGM --> Header --> Header global
    • Once enabled, the normal menu will be converted to a burger menu in desktop resolutions in addition to mobile and tab devices. The UI and functionality will be the same as in mobile devices.
    • Note: The utility menu items and search will remain in the header area unlike mobile burger menu.
  • Modal Popup
    • New toggle field added to enable or disable the modal overlay which was always enabled earlier
    • Default value will be overlay "ON".
    • The new field is available in the modal popup component layout configurations
  • Related content slider item (Dynamic teasers)
    • Layout and style configurations are added to related content item component
    • There will be one toggle available, which will enable the style override for dynamic teasers when switched on.
    • By default this toggle will be "OFF", and the styles will be loaded from SGM for dynamic teasers.
    • Once the toggle is "ON", the SGM styles will be overridden by the component level style configurations, which then user can configure according to requirement on a component/page level compared to site-wide SGM setting.

Other Updates :​

  • Event content type and listing views - Templates for the new commercial hub event content type and listing views are created from the MDS side.
  • As part of fixing two accessibility issues: Accessibility Remediation Site Studio :: Button has non-empty accessible name & Accessibility Remediation Site Studio :Element with presentational children has no focusable content for accordion component, the role=button attribute is removed from the accordion component container element.

Bug Fixes :​

  • The utility bar language switcher uppercase was fixed, this in now changed to follow the utility bar uppercase toggle in the SGM to match the other utility menu items.
  • Learn more (view page) button in product teasers were showing focus outline when clicked. This is corrected and now the button will show focus outline on keyboard focus and not on click.
